When we were in the planning stages of this senior session, Bailey was considering doing something else with her hair. As soon as we saw these images, we were so glad she went au naturel! If curly hair was a perfect fit for anyone, it was most definitely this free-spirited dancer. We thought Rosemary Beach would be the perfect setting in which to capture this lovely girl’s senior session.
Emerald Coast native Bailey Jenrich is heading off to college this fall for the first time, but this young entrepreneur is no stranger to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. She followed the traditional route her freshman year of high school, then jumped off the beaten path to transfer to Florida Virtual School so she could have the freedom to pursue other passions.
Bailey started a photography business and danced competitively, budgeting time for both math exams and music+video edit projects for local dance/cheer teams. Those high school years are filled with treasured memories, like the season she danced on the same team with her best friend, Hannah; heartwarming memories, such as the hours spent with other volunteers feeding the homeless; and funny memories, like the time she thought she was getting kidnapped on a resort shuttle, and left her friend and brother behind in her frenzy to escape what turned out to be a very false alarm.
All of Bailey’s hard work paid off when she graduated as a member of the National Honor Society of Dance Association. She credits two special people with that success: her dance instructor, Katie Harris, and her mom.
“Katie pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and helped me find myself as a dancer, believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself,” Bailey said. “My mom has made the biggest impact on my life because she has supported me through everything and believed in me and continues to do so.”
That support will carry Bailey through a whole new season in Orlando, as she heads to UCF to pursue a marketing degree and dance for UCF’s nationally-ranked competitive team KnightMoves. Though nervous about being far from home, she said her faith in God has her grounded. Despite her busy schedule, she plans to continue her passion for photography as well as make time for her other love, surfing. With her new proximity to Cocoa Beach, we’re pretty sure she’ll find a way to make that happen. The Pure7 family wishes you the best, Bailey!
